Introducing Our Summer Drinks 

Bar manager Martyn Nicol has created a smashing summer cocktail menu that features some wild and wonderful cocktail concoctions and long drinks.  Using his extensive experience and cocktail-making skills, let us talk and taste you through what you can expect from our list in The 158 bar. Our summer cocktail portfolio has a firm base of classic drinks using gin, rum , bourbon and fizz from our Bellini’s, The French 75, down to our New York Sour and Pegu Club.  While for whisky connoisseurs, our Glenfarlcas-based drinks use this six generation whisky house as a wonderful base to enjoy the Speyside treasure. Whatever way you like your whisky, follow this advice: “You don't improve a single malt whisky, you cherish it.” Grants of Glenfarclas

Cocktails 158


For the more adventurous guest, our specially crafted signature creations – ‘Hutchesons’ Own” feature some beautiful and interesting drinks.  The Parma violet is a cocktail favourite that will always have a firmly-rooted place in The 158, while The Refresco with Beefeater Gin, Aperol, lemon juice, mint, sugar & Prosecco is thee perfect cooler to have on our terrace. 

Sharing cocktails are a new addition to our bar. Great for sharing between two, make sure you try The 158  with Absolut vodka, raspberry syrup, dry vermouth, lemon juice, maraschino & bitters. 


To celebrate the launch of our summer drinks, we have six selected Signature Cocktails that are available for £5, Sunday through to Friday. Just look out for the # on our menus, or ask our bartenders to help you choose.

Here’s one of our selects for the summer, our ‘DON JALISCO’.  

Don Jalisco

Made with brilliant hand-crafted white Tequila from Tapatio in Mexico, this award-winning tequila is a great example of the Old World style of Tequilas that are very on trend. Distilled from 100% estate-grown blue agave, slow-roasted for 4 days and fermented with Carlos Camerena’s wild yeast culture dating back 75 years, it’s spicy with a with a delicious 100% agave grilled-pepper flavour.

With a splash of lychee liqueur, St Germain elderflower, lime juice and sugar, this Don will be as popular as Don Juan DeMarco. It looks incredible and smells delicious – everything you expect from a cocktail. We recommend pairing with some oysters with a hint of Tabasco sauce.


As well as beautiful summer drinks on our menu, we now have a Friday happy hour for our sea-fresh Oysters. Unwind after work and enjoy £1 Oysters on crushed ice from our bar. Served with lemon wedges, a sprinkle of seasoning or Tabasco sauce.

Oyster Happy Hour

Oyster Happy Hour is available every Friday, between 5 and 7pm in the 158 Bar at Hutchesons.
