We are thrilled to be kicking off our 2019 Uncorked series with one of the leading producers of Rioja, Vivanco. Vivanco is known in the wine world for their careful and unique craftsmanship.
Vivanco’s wines are born in their vineyard in the Briones region, an enclave in the Rioja Alta is located at the foothills of the Cantabrian Mountain Range, with its own unique microclimate. That’s where they truly acquire their personality. Vivanco have a very clear idea of how the process of making grape from wine should happen and have crafted their own technology and process to guarantee this including hand picking grapes to ensure they remain whole & storing at a lower their temperature to extract the grapes’ colour and aromas in a less aggressive way.
On the 27th February, we will be welcoming Alberto Ruiz who is a passionate member of this innovative wine for over 10 years.
Our executive head chef Jean Paul Giraud has put together a special 5 course tasting menu for the evening, taking notes from each of the 5 Vivanco wines and pairing them with locally sourced dishes to orchestrate some mind-blowing flavour combinations.
