Ok, so we can't really begin by saying it's 'Champagne Season'...if you hadn't noticed we're always banging on about bubbles, so 'Champagne Season' is pretty much endless for us!

With that said, mark Wednesday, April 12th, in your diaries as it's the first Champagne event of the year! Now, if there's one thing we're known for at Hutchesons, it's our Champagne parties...From our epic Meet The Widow event to our glamorous Summer Party Series (keep those eyes peeled, BIG news coming soon), no one quite does bubbles in Glasgow like we do! 

Our dear, dear friends at the worlds most vibrant Champagne house, yes - good ol' Veuve Clicquot - are on the verge of launching a brand new Cuvée...and who get's to help launch it? Well, we did say they were our 'dear, dear friends' didn't we?! Yes, that's right, Hutchesons will be one of the first venues anywhere in the WORLD to showcase their new product! 

To celebrate that glorious little fact, we've decided to through what will be one of the most memorable dinners we've ever turned our hand to! Hosted by Veuve Clicquot's very own Cellar Master, Dominque Demarville (Yes, that is a MAJOR DEAL), we will be showcasing not just the brand new, super secret Cuvée, but also the iconic Yellow Label, the formidable Rosé Label, the outrageously charming 2008 Vintage and to top it off, the Cave Rosé Vintage of 1990! An utterly ridiculous selection, if you ask us!

To go along with it, we'll also be serving up a beautifully bespoke four course menu for the evening, designed specifically to maximise the flavour profile of each Champagne! 

With only 30 tickets available, this is going to be one of the most exclusive dinners of the year! Having someone like Dominique Demarville host is a true honour, without his go ahead, no Veuve Clicquot is signed off! A true rockstar of the Champagne world, Dominique will expertly guide guests through the estate, talking all things bubbles!

Hutchesons Uncorked Event Series is back for another year and we're kicking things off on March 28th with a real meat treat! Following on from the success of last years dinners with John Gilmour at Hutchesons, where he showcased his skills first hand to a sold out room, we're delighted to welcome him back...and this time we're going bigger & bolder! Guests will enjoy a 4 course dinner, complete with drinks pairing, and you check the full menu here. 

Now, to see a Master Butcher up close and in person, witnessing the fluid technique and masterful control of the blade which has been passed down from generation to generation, is a truly unique experience. And on March 28th, it is an experience that Hutchesons will deliver live, in the form of an evening with renowned Master Butcher, John Gilmour.

We've also teamed up with the brilliant Scottish drinks brand, Arbikie, and will be serving creative concoctions using their various vodkas & gins, which are brewed here in Scotland.

Once again Mother's Day is just around the corner, giving us an opportunity to say #ThanksMum to all the mother's out there for all the hard work that they do! To make the day that extra little bit special, we've come up with some fabulous promotions to help you really treat Mum this year!

The Sunday Roast...

Whilst we all know that your favourite Roast Dinner is always your mums, we like to think that we're pretty good at knocking them up! We'll be roasting a sirloin of Borders reared beef, complete with duck fat roast potatoes, fresh seasonal veg, the fluffiest homemade Yorkshire puddings and rich, intense beef dripping gravy to top it all off!

For those looking for something a little bigger, a little grander and with some serious wow factor, we've also got our 35 day dry-aged Chateaubriand on the menu! Served with your choice of classic Hutchesons sids and a couple of sauces, it's one of our marquee dishes.

For those looking to treat Mum to a bit of glamour, we'll also be serving the most stylish brunch in the city with our renowned Bubbles & Brunch. From £25pp, you and Mum can enjoy freshly baked butter croissants, your choice of a classic brunch dish, freshly squeezed orange juice and a bottle of Prosecco! 

You can also upgrade your Prosecco to a bottle of Veuve Clicquot to add that little extra sparkle to the occassion!

Introducing a Taste of Scotland at Hutchesons...

To kickstart the year, we've put together a 4 course tasting menu that's inspired by the very best Scottish seasonal produce. Enjoy all four courses, along with a glass of wine, for just £30pp, available Mon - Thurs until February 2nd.


Great produce, means great flavours

Here at Hutchesons we believe passionately in bring food back to basics, and that great flavours are created by the quality of produce that’s used. We take a holistic approach to cooking, firm in the belief that using natural ingredients, whether it's fish, root vegetable or fruits, results in all the taste and nutrients that any dish needs. Taking those ingredients and combining them with their peers, cooked simply with an expert guile, will always deliver truly a remarkable taste sensation.


Our rich land & shores

In Scotland, we’re blessed to have some of the very best natural ingredients on our doorstep. Our produce also changes seasonally, meaning our larders are continually being replenished with new tastes which allows us to introduce great new flavours as the year progresses. From lamb in the springtime to salmon in the summer, there’s always great produce to choose from, sourced locally from across our land, rivers & coasts.


Right now, it’s venison season, and that’s played a crucial part in the winter offering of our Taste of Scotland menu, as of course, does the temperature and ambience of a Scottish January. With temperatures hovering in the low 2’s & 3’s, what better way to ‘warm the cockles’ (pardon the pun), than with a classic Scottish seafood chowder? For ours, we’re using a lightly spiced peat-smoked haddock paired with Shetland mussels and finished with a light drizzle of chilli oil. This dish really inspires flavours from across Scotland, the peat-smoked haddock has nuances of an Islay whisky, whilst the mussels provide that salty, fishy flavouring that’s so prominent in traditional coastal broths. And with the wintery temperatures engorging us, the little hint of added spice with our chilli oil will help warm up the soul. A great winters day day dish! 


Unique flavours and firm favourites...

As mentioned, venison season is in full swing, with Highland venison, which is free to roam in across vast lands and estates, one of the most coveted of meats up for grabs. Revered for its unique flavour, it’s  has been a firm favourite on dinner tables in Scotland for centuries. It’s also one of the most ethically sourced meats available anywhere in the UK, the majority of venison comes from land & estate management, with abattoirs not even featuring in the equation. For our menu, we’re using venison loin, one of the most popular and flavoursome cuts there is. We don’t intend to mess around with a classic flavour profile, so instead we simply pair our venison with great seasonal veg, utilising some of the most interesting ingredients from Scotland’s larder including Swiss chard and roasted beets, whilst incorporating another Scottish staple; spiced honey, which we use as a jus to add a little sweetness to the rich flavours of the venison. 

A twist on a classic...

It wouldn’t be a true Scottish tasting menu without indulging our sweet tooth and, of course, some whisky! We’ve adapted the traditional 'Hot Toddie' for ours and pulled together beautiful Heather Honey and Glenfarclas whisky iced parfait, with almond & honey cake, honey & lemon jelly and all butter shortbread!
