Marie Macklin CBE is the definition of a female boss. Having started her successful business career in development, financial services and construction, she has went on to become an inspiring, triumphant business woman. Founder and Executive Chair of The HALO Urban Regeneration Company, the business is reputable for its imaginative, innovative and inspirational urban regeneration initiative to revitalise former vacant land set within communities that are experiencing economic challenges. Marie is also the Executive Chair of Macklin Enterprise Partnerships, which seeks to invest in entrepreneurs and their businesses.

An entrepreneur, patron and committed businesswoman, Marie’s long list of accolades is a true testament to her hard work and flair for business. Holder of a C.B.E, she was recognised in the Queens 2014 New Year’s Honours List for Services to Economic Regeneration and Entrepreneurship in Scotland. She was also named Business Woman of the Year in 2017 by Women’s Enterprise Scotland and as the Bank of Scotland Non-Executive Director of the Year at the IoD Scotland Director of the Year
